Craig's interest in acting began during his days at Northern Illinois
University where he studied Entrepreneurial Management with a theater
minor. His management degree led him into the mortgage industry where
he co-owned and managed a company for several years. Subsequently he
put his acting career on hold. Although financially fulfilling, both
he as his business partner desired a more creative outlet.
Craig's continued desire to act and his business partner's ambition to
write a novel led them to sell the company in June of 1998. By January
of 1999 Craig packed up his belongings and moved to Los Angeles to
pursue an acting career. Realizing that you either need to
know someone, be incredibly lucky, or provide your own creative
medium, Craig decided to write his own material. Bouncing back and
forth from Los Angeles and Chicago in 1999, he wrote, starred in and
co-produced his first feature film, I Promise, I'll Never
which explored the depth of friendships.
